Explaining Different Textures

A lot of homeowners and people across Canada are unaware of the fact that there are a variety of different drywall textures. The most common ones would be Knockdown, Orange Peel and popcorn (Dale, 2025). The one shown in the image is an example of knockdown, the most common, its best for adding a modern feel to your home and hiding any flaws. Knockdown is easier to repair. Orange Peel is another common texture, its kind self explanatory, it looks orange peel like and is easy to spray on and works well in any home (Dale, 2025). Orange peel is known to be the most common. Lastly, the popcorn texture, the popcorn texture is a classic spray applied texture known for its soft and acoustic finish. Popcorn texture is raised and bumpy surface used to hide any framing imperfections (Dale, 2025).
